Schneer, the great Ray Harryhausen (the godfather of special effects) set about delivering some of the most iconic creatures ever to grace the silver screen. Once again reuniting with long-time friend and collaborator Charles H. A slayer of monsters and the son of Zeus himself. Harnessing the best of Greek Mythology, the story retells the legend of Perseus. An introduction to a world of imagination and wonder the likes of which has never been emulated. But despite treasuring every single one of these glorious creature features, only one holds the accolade of being my absolute favorite. You name it, King Kong, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, The Blob, IT! The Terror From Beyond Space, It Came From Beneath The Sea, The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Aliens, Predator, you name it, I loved them all. With that in mind, I thought I’d share a few of these awesome flicks with you – so let me take you by the hand on an adventure into awesomeness! Back to the movies that inspired my imagination as a child and still do to this day. But alas, when push comes to shove – I always end up going back to the classics.
